Sonos has just announced the Sonos Controller for Android, a free app that will transform most Android smartphones into a wireless music controller for Sonos. Download it for free from Sonos Website or go to the Android markeplace and search for Sonos.

With more than 60 million Android users worldwide, with an Android phone in hand and a free download from Android Market™, you can get started with Sonos for as little as £349 per room with a Sonos S5.

Incredible Innovative control.

The final feature set is still in the works but you can expect a full-fledged Sonos Controller that will work on Android smartphones running Android 2.1 or higher.  Plus Sonos latest innovation in the home music experience – music voice search – allowing users to find any artist, album or track by simply speaking into the phone.  Upon release, the Sonos Controller for Android app will be available in English only.
